At Divine Mercy Academy we value an individualized education to meet your child’s unique learning needs. Our goal is to provide students with the confidence and skill set to flourish academically and in life. With this, National School Psychology Week falls on November 9th to the 13th. This year’s theme is “The Power of Possibility”. The word “possibility” implies hope, growth, resilience, and renewal. The word “power” implies things can and will happen. This year’s theme emphasizes that when we focus on what is possible, we have hope that students will grow, thrive, and bloom. With all the change this year has brought this message is more imperative than ever.
At Divine Mercy Academy, my goal as the school psychologist is to help students thrive academically, behaviorally, and socially by providing direct support and intervention to students. Along with, consultation with teachers, families, and other school personnel to improve support strategies. Examples of services the school psychologist can help with include; improve academic achievement, promote positive behavior and mental health, support diverse learners, and help to support a positive school climate.
For National School Psychology Week, my goal is to bring attention to the support and services a school psychologist can provide to help students grow academically, behaviorally, and socially. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns related to your child’s academic or behavioral needs. I look forward to creating positive connections and working with you and your student. Please call Divine Mercy Academy at 734-855-4997 and ask to speak with me directly.
